The Coloring Odyssey
I thought I would show you the way I color a whole set of cards starting at the beginning. I will add photos as I finish. This is how they all start out, with a page torn from the book. I don't recommend trying to color them in the book. A loose page is much easier to manipulate but a single card is hard to hold down, so I leave them in the page format until time to use the gel markers.
This is my isolation box where all the colors that will be used in every card is placed so I can't use them in the body of the card and distract from the edging and main elements, swords, cups, wands or pentacles.
The first thing I color in is the main element which in this case is the swords.
Then I add the flesh tones to make it easier to color around them.
Then I move on to the sky tones which are from my prismacolor box. I don't have many of the prismacolor pencils because we all know how expensive they are BUT if you are going to make one purchase, splurge on a white one. They have the best white in the coloring world.
And here I use the last of the prismacolors I will use on the cards. Tomorrow I will move to Cezon because I need ocean and greens. They have the better selection.
This is where I bought the pencils I will use to finish these cards: https://www.amazon.com/160-Colored-Pencils-Set-Sketching/dp/B07P53WFKZ/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=cezan+pencils&qid=1574300210&sr=8-5

And now they are colored...On to the next step
These are my edging supplies. Gel pencils can be had anywhere but I like to have a splash of glitter on at least one line.
The trick with the edging is to only do the easily reached lines, first that you don't overlap and accidentally smear with your hand doing another line. Then you set aside and let them dry for 30 minutes just to be careful.

Before the final line edging, you will need to separate the cards to get easy assess to the inner lines without fear of smudging and wavering. After that edging is done you have to deal with these little buggers.
They are call nibs or nubs. There more political cousin, the Hanging Chad, is better known but they are just as irritating. Here are my weapons of destruction and I will use all of them trying to get rid of evil things. Before you ask, no, you cannot just cut them off. I tried, with everything. Doesn't work.
